据外媒报道，美国宇航局（NASA）将拨款用以研发太空食品3D打印机，为登陆火星的宇航员提供饮食。
据《华盛顿邮报》报道，NASA已选定总部位于德州的系统和材料研究公司（SMRC），并拨款125,000美元开发一个适合宇航员的"营养且美味的"食品3D打印机。
这种打印机使用"数字食谱",组合粉末产生出具有真正食物的结构和质地特性的食物来，还包括气味。
